What We Believe

One God

There is one living and true God, who eternally exists in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—equal in power and glory. This triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.

God the Father

God the Father is an infinite, personal Spirit, who is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves all who come to Him through Jesus Christ from sin and death.

God the Son

Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a perfect sinless life, performed miracles, taught truth, died on the cross in a substitutionary atoning death, was resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven where he intercedes on behalf of His people. One day, He will return to earth. Jesus is one and the same as God—fully human and fully God.

God the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower in ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ; He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, either at the time of or after regeneration, which is a separate work from the indwelling of the Spirit for salvation.

The Bible

All Scripture (the Old and New Testaments) is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. All beliefs must be judged by holding them up against God’s Word.

Saved by Grace Through Faith

All people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin. But salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all of his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.

The Rapture

We await the pretribulation rapture of the church. There will be a literal Second Coming of Christ with His saints to rule the earth, which will be personal and visible. This motivates us to holy living, heartfelt worship, committed service, the diligent study of God’s Word, regular fellowship, participation in adult baptism by immersion, and Holy Communion.

One Church

There is one Church—the living spiritual body—of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members.
